22.01.09 - (People) Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may want to dust off the mantle and make room for matching his and her Oscar trophies after picking up Best Actor and Best Actress nominations Thursday.
Pitt, whose film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button collected 13 Oscar nods, including Best Picture, called the nominations "a great honor for the movie," while giving props to his director. "I'm especially happy for David Fincher, for without him there would be no Ben Button," said Pitt, who was last nominated for a supporting role in Twelve Monkeys in 1996.
Oscars aside, Changeling star Jolie also had words of gratitude for her director: Working with Clint Eastwood "was a reward in itself that will last me a lifetime," she said.
My godness, 13 to 10 , I guess this year will be famously incredibly full of suspance and glamour and it will be a gorgeous evening! Well, I am missing, but what to do... okay, it's been made it impossible to me to visit this beautiful and romantic city at the time of the festival. I really wanted to be there, and I really want to be there the next year! Let's see, how my "wallet" will be next summer! But, I'm warning everybody. If I will have such a terrible summer for a third time since my comeback in Italy, I won't respond of my actions! Now, in a couple of days we will know who the winners of the festival are.

(I do not make/go on holiday since the year 2000. When I have had money, I did not have time. When I have had time, I did not have money. If I have had money and time, I did not have somebody to go with on holiday. This time it is more a strike. I am appalled, as potential clients went on holiday instead of giving me work and possibility to earn money. If I do not earn money, I cannot pay any invoice. Anybody gets my money, and does not earn, too! Thus, if I do not earn money to live, anybody does earn money, too! [Michael Schumacher said it once. Invoices can be paid, if there is money. If there is no money, they cannot be paid]. I guess this is clear, or?!) The actor had reportedly been asked to resume his role as fighter-pilot Maverick, returning to the Top Gun school as a flight instructor - 22 years after the original film.
But a spokesperson for Paramount - the studio behind Top Gun - says there is "no way" Cruise will be signing up for the new project.
